June 6, 2016, marks the 72nd anniversary of the World War 2 invasion of Nazi-controlled France known as D-Day. It was a critical step in the final liberation of Europe.  Why did World War 2 happen?  How were the United States and it's allies able to defeat Nazi Germany?  Since 1972, Dana Lombardy, owner of Lombardy Studios, has worked as a researcher, consultant, cartograher, designer, editor, speaker, and writer on hundreds of history projects. Dana's presentation will reveal some of the unfamiliar stories about the two greatest world wars in history.

Dana Lombardy, owner of Lombardy Studios, has appeared on multiple episodes of The History Channel's "Tales of the Gun" series, and publishes World War One Illustrated magazine for the non-profit World War One Historical Association.
